This site intended for a beginning and intermediate traders who need to sort their thoughts and seek the suitable way of trading.
Before I put my first trade I read many random trading books, listening to my brokers, exploring irresponsible trading forums, and joining few tips and market newsletters. Thirst for more knowledge is always good, but, without any proper guidance of how to utilize it properly, it will led someone astray. I was lost at that time, with my first month trades being highly profitable due to strongly bullish market, I thought my mashed up knowledge can bring me to fortune and financial independence. Of course I was wrong, big time.
Naturally inclined to technical analysis due to highly picturesque thought processing, I crudely combined many technical trading principles and tools to justify my trade.
Well, simple example: tight trailing stop level for swing trading and use it to follow trend? Laboring to find reversal point and sell on 3% profit? To sum it up: I was a mess.
From my humble experience, I create this site to assist fellow beginner-intermediate traders to find themselves and pick up their tools faster. I spent a lot of time finding myself with trial and errors. Hence, I hope with summarized material given by this site can hasten maturity process of it’s reader and spend less time hitting the walls I used to hit. With that in mind, below is suggested reading sequence:
- Finding yourself section
The most important thing is to find the characteristic of many existing type of traders and see which one looks comfortable. From here, we can customize and adjust to further to suit our personality better. - Technical indicators section
this section will help to sort time-tested indicators and put it into use according to it’s original purpose. Once again, this section will be a good starting point to learn how to utilize indicators as crutch to help us making decisions. Many indicators does not equal to higher profits, better knowledge and familiarity of certain indicator does. - Beyond books section
I have put some books summary to give a teaser for whoever interested to learn further. I will try to pick at least one book for each type of trader I have mentioned on Finding Yourself section - Contact and Follow my trading activity
Contact is for any further discussion or when specific questions arise, constructive critics is always welcomed. I trade for public on eToro, just find this platform and i really like the transparent nature of it, here you can see my trades, portfolio and stats. I hope newer traders might learn faster if they able to look at the same screen with me. I trade FTSE100 exclusively on eToro, this market fairly new for me but I like the mature and stable nature of it. My eToro user id is bristlecone.
Note: I trade my personal and client funds in other market with different broker, this market is an emerging market with higher risk.
That is all of it. Hope it helps, good luck!
